This year the main task of the Learning Council is to help develop Visible Learning across our whole school community.
As part of this we have been thinking about ‘What skills and attributes do we want a Newtongrange Learner to have?’ To do this we have thought about it ourselves and gathered some ideas. We have collected ideas from all the Learners as part of their Class Council. We have also asked parents at Parents Night and we have asked staff for their thoughts too.
When we have gathered all the information, we will prepare a Newtongrange toolkit of top skills and attributes that all learners should aspire to have.
This toolkit will be shared with all learners, staff and parents and will be part of the School Improvement Plan for next year.
Our next steps will be thinking about developing a Growth Mindset and thinking about how to use good Feedback.
