The Newtongrange Primary School PTA is the fundraising arm of the Parent Council. All of the fundraising efforts of the PTA go directly back into the school. In the past they have helped to fund things like the annual whole school theatre trip, iPads, portable ovens, P1 reading packs, P1 maths packs and much more.
The PTA operates with a Chairperson, Secretary and Treasurer and it could not run without parents volunteering. Each event needs a different amount of volunteers. Their previous events have included Bake Sales, Halloween parties, Winter Fayres and their recent Big Bake baking competition.
Anyone can volunteer for the PTA that have kids in the school. It’s a great way to meet new people and get to know some of the other mums and dads that have kids in other primary years. It is also loads of fun!
